ERVK-P system, Catch region. On the 10th of August, HERO Coalition mustered its forces and in an impressive display of force proceeded to defend the sovereignty of the system, to the chagrin of Providence Bloc.
Providence Bloc forces were en-route to the system in a one hundred pilot Harbinger class Battlecruiser fleet when reports came of not one, but three HERO Coalition fleets. One was the much talked about Eagle class Heavy Assault Cruiser fleet, comprising of around eighty of the coveted ships, as well as that number in Moa class Cruisers and a robust logistics wing, numbering a full fleet, two hundred and fifty-six pilots. Added to that was a support fleet of Ferox class Battlecruisers, numbering at more than forty, as well as a Test Alliance Please Ignore Ishtar class Heavy Assault Cruiser fleet of a hundred and seventy-five pilots. All totaled, the ERVK-P system hosted more than five hundred and seventy pilots, with Time Dilation effecting several systems away as well.
With the odds against them, Providence Bloc forces chose to stand down rather than face an assured defeat. This allowed HERO Coalition forces to clear the system of hostile Sovereignty Blockade Units, as well as anchor their own defensive Sovereignty Blockade Units instead, assuring that the system can be made invulnerable at a moment’s notice, thus further complicating any further attempts of assaulting the system.
Not content with only saving the system, HERO Coalition forces went on to incapacitate several of the Jump Bridges in the neighboring systems that serve Providence Bloc, deploy Sovereignty Blockade Units of their own in the 7MD-S1 system, and reinforce the Infrastructure Hub before finally departing.
With this turn of events, it seems the initiative is firmly back in HERO Coalition’s hands. The question remains though, how long a war are we looking at, and what will the price paid by both parties at its end?

Breaking News: Providence Bloc Deploys Sovereignty Blockade Units in ERVK-P
ERVK-P System, Catch region. On the 9th of August Providence Bloc forces deployed Sovereignty Blockade Units in the system, effectively besieging it.
This development occurred after the scheduled downtime of the EVE Online server for maintenance. The Sovereignty Blockade Units were placed over all the gates in the system, and managed to online with little problem. Though HERO Coalition attempted to remove the Sovereignty Blockade Units using bombers, they found Providence Bloc’s own bomber wing to be an effective deterrent for their efforts.
Once the Sovereignty Blockade Units were online, Providence Bloc bridged into the system in a hundred and ten assorted Battleship class fleet on top of the Infrastructure Hub, which quickly went to work on reinforcing the Infrastructure Hub, and after it was achieved, turned its eyes on the station in the system.
The station itself had its services incapacitated the earlier night, with Providence Bloc members keeping them in that state and interfering with any attempts to repair them. After a while, the station was put into reinforced mode with Providence Bloc forces being uncontested by HERO Coalition for the entire duration.
Besides the Infrastructure Hub and the Station, a staging Tower was also put into reinforce mode, further showing Providence Bloc’s resolve concerning the system.
This development comes on the heels of the successful defense of the UL-7I8 system by Providence Bloc forces, and seems to resonate with the feelings of many residents of the Providence region, who were enraged by what was seen as an act of ruthless aggression on the part of HERO Coalition and demanded retribution.
With this retaliation committed by Providence Bloc there is a strong possibility that the situation will continue to spiral out of control and the the two entities may soon find themselves thrust into a prolonged sovereignty war, though both coalitions’ Executors have refrained from declaring an open state of warfare still.
While many people in Providence may relish the opportunity to reclaim the ERVK-P system and put HERO Coalition in its place, one must wonder what will be the N3 Coalition’s response over this development, especially considering Stain-Wagon Coalition’s involvement in the fighting. One may also wonder at the silence exhibited by the CFC over the entire situation.
Is the Northern Catch pocket dispute the match that will ignite the next galactic war? Only time will tell.
News: Providence Bloc Loses a Tower in the ERVK-P System to HERO Coalition Forces
ERVK-P System, Catch region. In the early hours of the 20th of July, a Tower belonging to Curatores Veritatis Alliance is destroyed along with a relief force by a fleet belonging to HERO Coalition.
The tower may have been a remnant of when the system was under the control of the Providence Bloc, before Darkness of Despair Alliance wrestled control of it in a bloody struggle in September of 2013. Since then the system has changed hands, with HERO Coalition taking sovereignty over it after the collapse of Darkness of Despair Alliance. Though there were talks of the system being returned to Providence Bloc peacefully, the reinforcement of the remaining Providence Bloc infrastructure would indicate otherwise.
As the tower was exiting reinforced mode at 8:00 EVE Standard Time, a relief force of forty pilots, mostly in Battleship class ships was organized by Providence Bloc, and made its way to the system in haste, only to encounter an overwhelmingly strong HERO Coalition fleet, some hundred pilots strong. Reinforcing that fleet was a HERO Coalition Capital ship wing, comprising of five Dreadnaughts and three Carrier class Capital ships, all present on and around the tower.
Providence Bloc forces made an attempt to fight the HERO Coalition fleet on the tower, but suffered significant losses, losing their entire logistics wing as well as a quarter of their fleet before being forced to retreat. With Providence Bloc forces extracting, HERO Coalition continued unmolested in the removal of the tower and its modules.

Update: ERVK-P Station Captured by H.E.R.O Coalition
Following the dissolution of Darkness of Despair Alliance, ERVK-P system in Catch lost sovereignty, allowing Brave Collective to claim their first system, and later station, in Catch. F9E-KX system followed shortly, and Nexus Fleet took over E-YJ8G system and station. All in all, H.E.R.O Coalition gained a foothold into Catch, with ERVK-P serving as their new staging system.
The only interruption to H.E.R.O Coalition’s take over of the ERVK-P system came in the form of a token CFC force comprised of a Zealot gang operated by Razor Alliance, and a Tengu fleet of assorted CFC entities, which Squared off against H.E.R.O’s Megathron fleet. Providence Block acted as an honorable third party and engaged both parties equally.
After a short engagement, and with mounting losses, Provi-Block’s Fleet Commander, corebloodbrothers, decided to extract the force and disengaged, rather than risk losing the whole fleet, and left the two coalition to continue fighting.
Regardless, H.E.R.O Coalition managed to get a solid foothold in Catch, whether they manage to keep it, widen it, or lose it entirely, time will tell.

Update: ERVK-P Station Reinforced
ERVK-P Station in Catch has been reinforced by H.E.R.O Coalition. This is the station’s first reinforcement timer. The station is expected to exit reinforced mode at the eleventh of March, approximately 20:00 EVE time, which is considered Russian prime time. While H.E.R.O Coalition is expected to show up, many wonder whether or not Against ALL Authorities or the RUS coalition will show up to defend the timer. The EVE Scribe will keep you posted as the situation develops.

Breaking News: H.E.R.O Coalition Invades Catch
First published on the EVE Scribe on the 7/3/2014
The weeks of speculation are finally over. H.E.R.O Coalition has deployed Sovereignty Blockade Units in ERVK-P. The SBUs were deployed by Nexus Fleet at 19:00 EVE time, and were first reported by members of Sev3rance who promptly dispatched the Transport. Shortly afterward, a Brave Newbies Talwar fleet of around one hundred pilots appeared in the system, to guard the SBUs while they were brought online.
This development makes it clear that H.E.R.O Coalition are here to take sovereignty in Catch, or at least harass Against ALL Authorities and Darkness of Despair, thus validating the rumors that they have been paid by Northern CoalitionDot for said task.
We are yet to see how the RUS coalition, of which -A- and -DD- are members of, responds to this action, that effectively opens a second front in their own back door. This coming after a string of mishaps that included the loss of a staging system and reversal of major sovereignty gains in Immensia.
The stance of GoonSwarm Federation and the CFC is yet to be decided either, considering they just returned from a lengthy campaign in the south, and have been harassed by both Mordus Angels and Black Legion recently.
Will this be the beginning of the end for -A-? Will the CFC re-deploy south to help the RUS coalition? And how will N3 use this diversion for its advantage? I will keep you posted on further developments.
